Live: CROCODILE PARADOX

CROCODILE PARADOX is a trio band hailing from Sibiu, Romania.
Born out of the immense cultural sustenance their native town provides, CROCODILE PARADOX
emerged in 2017 as a solo project from the mind of Andrei Cretu. 2022 saw Charlie Falamas join, and
in 2024 the latest member of the band, Alex Ciobotaru, made his presence felt. With the trio complete,
the band’s sharp, unpredictable sound evolved into the fierce jaws of their namesake.

With a fresh sound forging their own style with influences ranging from metal, jazz, funk, electro-
dubstep and their beloved traditional Romanian folklore, they blend together the edges of each genre

they touch melting them into their own personal creations. As vast as a crocodile’s habitat, the rich
blend of influences serve to craft the unique and unmistakable sound that is their own, carefully crafted
in their sacred nesting grounds.
Andrei’s guitars, synths, and orchestration form the backbone of the band, presenting us with the
powerful and sturdy body of the crocodile. He is more than just the guitarist and synth player; he is the
architect of the band’s sound, the one who turns chaos into cohesion. Charlie’s energetic lyrics and
vocals, ranging from melodic tones to primal growls, breathe life into flesh, making the jaws calmly
wait for their moment and violently snap when the time is right. Finally, Alex’s explosive drumming
stabilizes it all, serving as the unrelenting rhythm of the brutal crocodile’s thrashing tail.
